.:VALVE TAX

Q: Who is Valve?

A: Valve is the company who developed Half-Life and Steam

Q: What is "Valve Tax" and is it really a "tax"?

A: Valve Tax is to support the overpriced licensing fees that allow us to keep "Steam for Cafes" in the store. It's a VERY expensive annual fee that's paid up front to support all the games you see. It is not really a "tax", but it is the universal name for it. Gaming centers all over the world have named it "Valve Tax" that participate in this program.

Q: How much is "Valve Tax"? After I pay this, I can play ANY steam game, correct?

A: "Valve Tax" is only $5 per person. You only pay this once and it lasts for SIX (6) MONTHS or until your membership expires when you have to pay it again! During this time, you can play ANY steam game!

Q: Wow! That really isn't that much! Especially if it lasts for 6 months!

A: $5 for 6 months isn't that much for the average gamer, but with all of our member we have today we hope that it will one day pay for the licensing itself! Thank you all for your support in helping us keep Steam for Cafes in our store!
