Oh, and the one in Carolina Place Mall is different than the other Gamefrogs across NC, since it is located where it is. They do hold tournaments, almost every weekend.


Plus, yours has yet to come into full fruition.

Both have almost the same hours, GameF*** opens many hours earlier, and you'd be surprised how many morning gamers come by.

Also, we have lock-ins at multiple locations very commonly. Heck, there is even a lock-in going on this Saturday night at our Winston-Salem location!

We have and are upgrading our locations to DX10, not that it is even necessary yet considering no competitive game yet even really utilizes it effectively...On our 7900's, we can run pretty much everything on high to mid-high settings perfectly.

So nice job spending an extra $200 per PC when you could have waited 2 months and got them cheaper.

Funny, how much does a membership cost?

Also, we have a log-in system that people use the cards for. We also use it for verification. It makes the process pretty easy as it allows people to wait up at the counter for less than a minute and get straight into their game.

Sorry but we charge less per hour the more time you buy, which also benefits our more regular customers. Our prices are very close either way, and not only have I never heard a complaint about the pricing, it also encourages people to buy higher packages thats a better deal for them, and makes us more money, letting everyone win.

You made this point already...And the fact that we have lock-ins about 1-2 times a month at multiple locations pretty much counters that point.

As far as I've heard or seen on your website, you haven't held any tournaments. GameF*** holds multiple tournaments/lock-ins a month at multiple locations. Here is a list of upcoming tournaments if you were interested in jumping in on any yourself :

Guitar Hero 2 Tourney at Winston-Salem on 08/11
Lock-in at Winston-Salem on 08/04
Command and Conquer Tourney at Durham on 09/01
Counterstrike 5v5 Tourney at Charlotte on 08/25

And here are some of the tourney's we have had in that past month or so:

Halo 2 2v2 at Cary on 06/30
Counterstrike Tourney at Charlotte on 06/23
Lock-in at Charlotte on 06/29
Gears of War 4v4 at Charlotte on 06/16

And we recently had a Command and Conquer Ladder during Spring.

So what were you saying about how we didn't have any tournaments or ladders?!

You guys would if you had more than 40 members and 11 actual posters on your forums...

GameF***'s forums have over 3000 members, and about 150 members that have posted at least 15 times...not to mention all too many customers have not yet discovered our forums...

I'm a staff member at the Carolina Place Mall location, i have yet to come see you guys done in Fort Mill, i was planning on it (not to do any espionage or anything, all gamers should be friends). I accepted your friend request on myspace, and looked you guys up... your place looks really cool.. and if you guys survive (not trying to be mean or anything, but its a tough world, i've seen many a LAN center come and go), but if you guys thrive, we should be friends, not enemies. Some "store v. store" competitions would be hella cool.. . get a 5v5 cs tournament vs stores or something.. that would be hella awesome.

But c'mon... dont diss us this early.. we've been around almost 5 years now, ive worked with the dudes for almost 4. You guys just got started up. Lets give each other a chance. kthx?

That is very true - as high as 80% of gaming centers fall very fast.

Of course we don't have many people in our forums considering that we've only been open for a few weeks.

Don't be lazy by only reading 1 part of the thread -- I was talking about the Pineville location only, which I'm sure i've said more than once.

We hold events twice a week which is too often to post on our website -- so we only post major events, such as igames sponsored events.

There are countless more night gamers than morning gamers. What type of true gamer comes in the morning? But to each his own.

The largest chain? Try Howie's game shack, my friend -- I don't believe 5 locations count for that.

Hostility? When someone comes to our forums, obviously an employee, and throws subliminal insults at our face followed by direct insults and no apologies - of course we are going to retaliate.
